My students have been creating videos throughout the year which we upload to YouTube. Students designed mini-tutorials ("YouTeach" videos) to reinforce concepts taught in class for those students needing additional examples and/or for those who were absent and missed the lesson. It has really helped in improving their presentation skills, refining their ability to express their thoughts mathematically and creating purpose in their work. Students loved the idea of having a video of themselves on YouTube to share with others. *The only challenge with YouTube is that it is blocked on my iPad when on the school's WiFi network. I hope they fix this since we'll have multiple iPads in the classroom next year and it would be nice for the kids to have access to their YouTeach videos on the iPads.
